Grandma and Grandpa Price's visit

We got to hang out and relax ... and even go the Pumpkin Patch for the perfect pumpkins and carve them too!! It was a fast trip but a good one at that. And even Missy came out ... albeit for a job interview but nonetheless we got to share some time with her!!

Month 4 Stats

Our little man is growing!!!!

Height: 26 inches (90%)
Weight: 15lbs 3 oz (50-75%)

The doctor was impressed with David's chatty ways, his ability to hold his held so well, he LOVED seeing his leg strength and enjoyment in standing for so long and of course his temprament. Solids can be started now and they provided me with some info ... but it was so swept over that I'm sure they feel its best to start later. But we'll see ... David seems so anxious to start. He's whinning at us when we ate and he's already been fed. He watches our every move when eating and drinking and even grabs for our plates, utensils and even our glasses.

We can't believe how big he's getting ... and it's so fast too!!!

Happy Birthday Mommy ...

My parents came out to visit me for my birthday ... this was the first time we'd spent my birthday together since 2003!!!! Now it's time to live my last year in my 20's!!

Super Franks!!

Yesterday we went to Super Franks with Nicole and Kaitlyn, Jaime and Lucas and Amy too!! This was David's first trip to Super Franks and he sure seemed to like it even though we couldn't do much. There was LOTS for him to see and I think he really liked it when mommy's white t-shirt was GLOWING because of the black light in the Fish Tank room!! We can't wait to go back again!!

House Warming at Josh, Jaime and Lucas' house!!

Yesterday Josh and Jaime had friends and family over to celebrate Halloween since they'll be down south for Halloween. Lucas wore his costume and Jaime encouraged all the other little ones attending to do the same. Mike and I think David is the cutest pumpkin ever ... even when he's just in his hat!! We're still trying to decide if we want to try to actually Trick-or-Treat with him or not. He certainly won't remember it but we will!!

I got him to laugh!!!

I got David to laugh all on my own and it was for a while!!! I was so happy that I was FINALLY funny enough to get him to laugh and it was a continuous laugh so it simply made my week!! Of course no one witnessed it so Mike teases me that it didn't really happen but it did and it melted my heart ... oh I love my little boy!!!

BUMBO!!!

We've tried the Bumbo a few times before today but David slumped over it each time. So we knew he wasn't ready. So today ... I tried it again ... and he didn't slump over automatically!! He actually sat up correctly for about 5minutes!! He even seemed to like it too. It allowed him to be on his own but still be supported. Yea!!!

I just know this is going to become a great piece of "kiddie care" for us ..............

Also ... David wore his "coming home" onesie and it finally truly fits him!!! He looks so cute in this onesie ............

Holding his own bottle

We haven't been using bottles much lately as I feel I've mastered NIP (nursing in public) and even gotten over my fear of it too. Plus, he now goes 4-5 hrs between nursings so its much easier to be away for a little while without having to worry about having milk for him or pumping for me. But every once in a while I get an "owie". So I had to pump one day and gave him the bottle. Grant it, it was one of the small 2.7oz bottles, but still. He held it all his own!!! He even relaxed a bit and would let it droop a little when he wanted to rest and would push it back up to drink more when he was ready!! How the heck did he learn that when we rarely use a bottle?! Our little man is so smart!!

Eating mommy's glasses

Today I was playing with David and he pulled my glasses off my face. He's never even reached for them before today. He actually took them off in one swift movement!!! He then proceeded to lick the lenses and try to chew on them as well!!

Trying to roll over

Each day now ... David gets closer and closer to rolling over. He certainly loves to rotate or flip his hips so he can change direction. Many times I'll look in on him in the pack-n-play and he's managed to turn his body 180degrees. I'll look in again and he's back to where he started. But now when I put him on his stomach for tummy time he starts to lift his rear to push over. But can't quite seem to get his arm out of the way to complete the roll. He is even trying to roll from his back to stomach too. But the same instance is occuring ... he can't seem to get his arm out of the way to complete the roll.

He's growing and getting so big ... but he's still not even 4 months old yet!!

Giggling and Squeeling

David is now giggling more and more. But apparently ONLY his father is funny ... because he REALLY squeels for Mike. Maybe its that Daddy is just funny looking ... lol!!!!

Muir Beach, Muir Woods and Suasalito

David and I went with his Auntie Missy, Grandma/Grandpa Civello to Muir Beach to enjoy what little sun there was. It was so much fun and David listened to the waves crashing and realized ... "hey I know that sound. My lambie makes that sound for me."

Then we headed off to Muir Woods to look at the gigantic Sequoias and Red Woods!! It was so peaceful and beautiful back there that I can't wait to go back and take poor Mike who didn't get to go with us.

After that the crew went to Sausalito for some yummy dinner. We ate at The Spinacker and I had swordfish!! A long day and David was a trooper like normal.
