I went to dinner with my friends Laura and Dana since Mike was out of town on business and of course I ordered a pasta dish from the Cheesecake Factory that I can't even finish in 2 sittings. So the next day I ate some of the leftovers for lunch. I was starving when it was time to feed David his lunch so I ate at the same time. Guess what ... he wanted what I had. So I broke off little pieces of the pasta and let him have a few bites. He LOVED it!!!
On that same day but later on I was making some of David's yummy purees and even a new one; carrotts. When I decided, on the urging of a friend, to leave a quarter piece of the steamed pear aside for David to explore in his teething feeding. He LOVED it too. In fact he cried when I took it away to put another piece in for him. As soon as I gave it back he "mmm-mmmm-mmm"'d his way through it.
Then at dinner I cut up the last few bits to give to him. He's been trying to "grab" the spilled bits of puree on his place mat so I thought, lets see if he'll grab the pear. Sure enough, he grabbed for it but doesn't the dexterity yet to actually grab each piece. And they're a little wet too so that made it hard as well.
Our little man sure is growing up so fast I can't believe it!! He's getting more and more demanding for our food so now it's time to start making our meals a bit more "David" friendly I think. And he's sitting up on his own longer and longer too. So much easier for him to actually play with his toys. :)
